Emagination Tech Camps is looking for an energetic, outgoing, and friendly, seasonal Camp Director driven to make a difference in the lives of campers who are passionate about technology. Celebrating 40 years at 6 US campus locations - Emagination Tech Camps delivers an innovative tech education that merges seamlessly with an awesome summer camp experience.

As a Camp Director, your goal is to create a memorable and meaningful experience where campers can learn, play and grow in a safe and caring environment. With the support and guidance of a year-round team, our directors manage campers, their families, operations, programs, a small staff team and other camp happenings. Our Camp Directors have ownership over their camp locations and are encouraged to bring their own creativity and talents into their camp program and community.

Camp Director Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and take part in logistics of location set-up, tear-down and product inventory/assessment
  • Manage the daily operation of the camp including safety, health services, program areas, human resource matters, camper / staff supervision and communications with parents, host campus and corporate
  • Supervise, manage, and coach a team of 6-20 staff in a supportive manner
  • Ensure the implementation of rules, policies, safety guidelines, programs, and traditions
  • Delegate tasks to team members and provide guidance and support to those executing the tasks
  • Be alert to and the lead in assessing the needs of campers and staff - Provide supervision, care, and nurturing
  • Manage a budget and record all monetary transactions
  • Complete all online pre-camp training; attend and help facilitate onsite staff training week
  • Act as the Health Care Administrator
    • Execute an organized camper medication check-in and check-out each session
    • Store and dispense camper medications with 100% accuracy
    • Maintain accurate, up to date medications and health log
    • Respond to and document critical incidents
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as required


  • Available to reside on location for a period of 5-7 weeks of employment depending on location
  • Camp Directors must be at least 25 years old by June 1
  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate professional certification
  • Prior experience working with children, teens, and young adults
  • Prior administrative / leadership experience at residential summer camp or similar environment
  • Experience supervising and managing a team
  • Experience maintaining a budget and recording expenses
  • Hold or be willing to acquire CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (including mental health)


  • Paycheck - Weekly salary paid every two weeks via direct deposit

  • College Credit or Internship- You may be eligible for college credit or able to use camp as an independent study, practicum, or internship experience. Ask your advisor or professor at your school how the skills you will learn directly relate to your major and how they will make you a stronger job candidate
  • Leadership - you will be supervising groups of 10-20 others, engaging in decision making, behavior management and living ethics- all necessary leadership skills
  • Networking Opportunities - connections made at camp can lead to possible internships, future job opportunities and lifelong friends
  • 21st Century Skills- communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and contribution skills and traits that can draw an employer's attention to your resume
