Length of Position: Summer, residential position for 6-8 weeks, depending on location

With our core tech camp program offering 20+ tech courses, plus a specialty program for coding ' we offer a great opportunity to put your youth development and leadership skills to work.

Description: Great leaders are the key to our success! Share your experience by leading the next generation of video game enthusiasts, digital artists, programmers and engineers in our teen leadership development program. Teen Leadership Program Coordinators work closely with teenage campers as they learn life and leadership skills, contribute to camp and serve as role models to younger campers. Work with this group and our staff team to deliver a balance of technology learning and traditional summer camp activities - it's Technically Fun!

Teen Leadership Program Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff training week and complete all online pre-camp training
  • Live on campus and help execute all non-tech aspects of our program: recreation, evening program, special events and field trips Execute all aspects of our teen leadership program: teach leadership training workshops; assign tasks, leaders and groups; guide participants through the planning and execution of evening program activities, off campus trips and more
  • Observe and coach teen leadership program participants (Program Assistants PAs)
  • Serve as liaison between PAs and the staff team
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as required

  • Leadership you will be supervising groups of 7-15 others, engaging in decision making, behavior management and living ethics- all necessary leadership skills
  • Networking Opportunities connections made at camp can lead to possible internships, future job opportunities and lifelong friends
  • 21st Century Skills communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and contribution skills and traits that can draw an employer's attention to your resume
  • Letter of Recommendation Camp leaders write great letters of recommendation because they get to know you and you in action on a daily basis


  • 2 years of college in education, youth leadership development, or related field
  • Prior experience working with teens in a youth leadership program, preferably in a camp setting
  • Experience coordinating the delivery of recreational or other small and large group activities for children
  • Experience planning special events
  • Capability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner
  • Desire to lead games, songs, classes, and other activities with groups of children and teens
