Length of Position: Summer, residential position for 7 weeks

Company Info: We have been teaching kids and teens new tech skills, and providing them a community where they make new friends and have fun since 1982! With our core tech camp program offering 24 tech courses, plus a specialty program for teens in game design ' we offer a great opportunity to put your youth development and leadership skills to work.

Description: Join us on our mission to Education, Entertain and Help Develop Healthy Kids.  Program Coordinators plan, implement and execute our camp program activities, special events and trips, and ensure an environment that balances technology learning with opportunities with recreation, personal growth and social development.

Program Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff training week and complete all online pre-camp training
  • Live on campus and execute all non-tech aspects of our program: recreation, evening program, special events and field trips
  • Organize, distribute and maintain all activity supplies and equipment
  • Organize campers into groups as needed for program activities
  • Observe activities and ensure the quality delivery of recreation curriculums and program schedules
  • Be alert to and active in addressing the needs of campers and staff provide support, care and nurturing
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as required

Requirements:

  • 2 years of college in education, recreation or related field
  • Prior leadership experience working/volunteering with youth, preferably in a camp setting
  • Experience coordinating the delivery of recreational or other small and large group activities for children
  • Experience planning special events
  • Capability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner
  • Desire to lead games, songs, classes, and other activities with groups of children
